I have developed my training regime by working with a variety of people, and constantly adapting my program to the needs of my new clients.

With any new training regimen, I find that i get a little anxious to start the program, especially with a new trainer and in a new town. From my first meeting with Valerie, she made me feel comfortable, welcomed,and confident. Valerie was thorough in her assessment of my body capabilities and limitations, but most importantly she listened to my goals.
I have been training with Valerie now for 4 months and i can see the difference in my body, in tone and strength. Regularly, Valerie and I discuss any changes that are needed to continue to challenge my workout, whether an increase in weights or introducing new exercises. Valerie is an incredibly positive-reinforcement motivator. I enjoy our sessions and the energy my workouts give me. Further, I feel confident in my abilities to progress on this fitness journey, thanks to Valerie.

When I moved to Key West from New York City in 1996, I was fortunate to find Valerie Smith, a personal trainer with her own gym, with emphasis on weight training. I am now 83 years old and i've trained with Valerie for all these years with a small Hiatus whenever she traveled. Her insight and consistency have served me well and i have her to thank for my current strength and flexibility. We also have developed a close personal relationship and I have been very grateful for her friendship. She frequently upgraded my routine, so i was never bored and my balance at my age is excellent. I would strongly recommend Valerie Smith to anyone of any age looking to improve their health and fitness.
